“Unlimited” usage policies and definitions apply only to shared and reseller hosting accounts.
Our Unlimited Disk Space/Bandwidth/Website Plans provide you with the freedom to use as much bandwidth, websites, or disk space as you need for your personal or small business website, as long as you comply with our Agreement. However, if your service usage or content poses a threat to the stability, performance, or uptime of our servers, data storage, networking, or infrastructure, we may need to take action. This may include requesting that you upgrade to a VPS or restricting the resources your website is using.
At HostingDuty, we use sophisticated mechanisms to protect our hosting subscribers and systems from abuse. We do not offer our “Unlimited” hosting plan to a single or few subscribers in order to prevent negatively impacting others. Our shared hosting service hosts multiple subscribers’ websites from a single server, sharing resources. It caters to small and medium-sized businesses globally, but not large enterprises or non-typical applications. We offer additional resources to subscribers in line with our terms if it is commercially reasonable. However, we implement automated safeguards to prevent websites from growing too quickly and negatively impacting the system, ensuring a high-quality experience for all subscribers.
At HostingDuty, we don’t limit the amount of disk space that our hosting subscribers can use for their website. Additionally, we don’t charge additional fees based on the amount of storage used, as long as the subscriber’s use of storage complies with our terms.
However, it’s important to note that our service is specifically designed to host websites. We don’t offer unlimited hosting for online storage, such as videos, images, audio, games, installers, executable files, backups, or archiving of electronic files, documents, log files, web spider or indexer, irc, torrent, file sharing, peer-to-peer activities, testing environment, and other similar uses. If a subscriber is found to be engaging in such prohibited activities, their account will be terminated with or without notice.
It’s also worth noting that having a database larger than 1 GB can negatively affect the server’s performance. We may request that the size of a subscriber’s database be reduced to ensure proper performance, or disable the account altogether, with or without notice. Subscribers are welcome to create multiple databases, but each database should not exceed 1 GB in size.
HostingDuty does not limit the amount of visitor traffic a website can receive or the amount of content a hosting subscriber can upload to their website in a given month, and they don’t charge additional fees based on increased bandwidth usage, as long as the hosting subscriber complies with these Terms. In most cases, a hosting subscriber’s website can support as much traffic as they can legitimately acquire. However, HostingDuty reserves the right to limit processor time, bandwidth, processes, or memory if it is necessary to prevent negatively impacting other hosting subscribers.
Please note the following prohibited activities:

• Running any MySQL queries longer than thirty (30) seconds.
• Using twenty-five percent (25%) or more of our system resources for longer than ninety (90) seconds at a time. Activities that could cause this excessive use, include but are not limited to: CGI scripts, FTP, PHP, HTTP, etc.
